Presentation of the Bal the Firefly Fair
We would like to invite you to a fairy-tale-inspired event, a presentation of the bestselling book Kresniček Bal/Bal the Firefly written by a well-known Slovenian auhtor Franci Rogač, which will take place on Wednesday, 1st September 2010 at 6 pm in front of Dvorni bar, Ljubljana.

Bal the Firefly Fairy Tale
Translat is proud to have helped create the bilingual picture book Kresniček Bal/Bal the Firefly, written by Franci Rogač. This summer, the author went on a USA book tour, visiting Cleveland and Chicago and giving free copies of the picture book to children. Translat participated in the project as a sponsor, providing proofreading for the English translation and by reviewing the text before it was sent into print. The picture book is now available for purchase in bookstores and at the Amazon.com website.

Ten Million Cream Cakes
Translat has been working with Sava Hoteli Bled for quite some time now, mostly translating their marketing material in different languages, for example into English, German, Italian, Croatian, Serbian, French and Russian. Our translations have been printed on neatly made boards hanged at the entrance to the Hotel Park coffee shop which was the place where the Bled cream cake was first made. Last year, the staff from Bled’s Hotel Park pastry kitchen prepared the ten millionth cream cake and Translat has, on this occasion too, provided translations for newsletters and invitations to the event.

Promarket Fair, 17th March 2010 at 12.00
This year, Darja Kastelec, MA, of Translat will take part in the Fair by holding a lecture entitled Why is the Quality of Translation Work Important - A Selection of Good-quality Translation Service & a Quality Translation Process. The lecture will be held in the framework of the Fair, on 17th March 2010.
